Aur Island

Pulau Aur (Aur Island) is located 65km east of Mersing on the east coast of Johor. This island and its surrounding islands -- Pulau Dayang (Dayang Island), Pulau Lang (Lang Island) and Pulau Pinang (Pinang Island) are rated by divers as one of the best scuba Diving destinations within the Johor Marine Park area.The waters here are deeper than around the inner islands. Due to its remoteness from the mainland, visibility is excellent and sightings of pelagic are common. Most of the rocky islands are well forested and have isolated coconut plantations. With deep, clear water, healthy corals and regular encounters with large pelagic species, these islands have the potential to become international diving locations. All boats to Pulau Aur depart from the Mersing Jetty in Mersing town.(in the state of Johor). Nearest airport to Mersing Jetty is at Senai, in Johore Bahru.
